A corner of the Battle of the Marne. The valiant artillery of our 75 cheer their English brothers.
Near Meaux we saw our artillery cheering their English brothers, while manoeuvring their terrible 75s [75mm rifles] to the German positions they had conquered. With surprising verve they carried off a cavalry charge that decimated the enemy, inflicting huge losses, taking several guns, ammunition and many prisoners. The glorious memory of this cooperation will remain forever in the memory of the French people.
